I have been painting professionally since 1992. Three years ago I began the transition from interpreting my experience through realism to expressing myself more abstractly.   Leaving familiar territory, I was facing the dilemma of knowing what the painting would look like from the beginning versus the excitement and trepidation of allowing the mystery to unfold. The excitement of the mystery won out !
